The SEDD activity was aimed at elaborating specific project impact of 2 x 5 MW Mini Hydro Power Plant on social and environment aspects, and analyzing the compliance of Koro Yaentu MHPP project with the Social and Environment (S&E) Principles according to the IIF standard, including its mitigation plan, management and monitoring practices.
The scope of the study includes:
- To review and assess: i) the feasibility of health, safety, workers, management of Company (SEMS) systems; and ii) company’s ability to manage Social and Environment risks during the pre-construction, construction and operational processes, including its organization and capacity;
- To summarize the related project characteristics related to S&E aspects, including business activity description, organizational work frame and relevant laws, also to identify and analyze the social and environment risks of the Koro Yaentu MHPP project development, including the existing permits and to compile the risk mitigation frame (if affected/triggered), according to PT IIF social and environment requirements.
- Based on the detailed documents, to evaluate the feasibility of the available S&E evaluations (UKL-UPL, RKL-RPL, Feasibility Study (“FS”), and other available documents), plans and procedures, and to provide summary and recommendation to the identified findings, based on the evaluation and to analyze results of the risk and impact to the S & E aspects.
