Syaiful Bachri is a Specialist with core of expertise as Agriculture Economist, Value Chain Specialist, and Food Security Specialist. He worked for the Indonesian Centre for Agro Socio Economics and Policy Studies (ICASEPS), Indonesia Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), started in April 1972, (after graduated from High School in 1970), and retired in June 2009. More than half of his 37 years of working experiences was doing field research in socio agro economics field. He took the evening class for his under graduate in commerce in 1986 and he did his post graduate study in economics in Australia in the period of January 1993 to December 1995. His home office is basically the ICASEPS, but during his service to this government research center he experienced of being deputed to several institutions e.g. Ministry of Agriculture, DAI, the World Bank and JICA. Recently Syaiful Bachri is an Agriculture Specialist for Hatfield Indonesia, his recent studies are to support MCA-Indonesia’s Green Prosperity Project.
