He has over 15 years working experience all over Indonesia in peace building, development, and cultural studies. He received some training for Conflict Transformation & Peacebuilding in Mindanao, Philippine and Cambodia; and CBT (Community Based Tourism) training in Kathmandu, Nepal. He is a member of SFAA (Society for Applied Anthropology) Nevada, US and IWGIA (International Working Group for Indigenous People Affairs) Copenhagen, Denmark.
Previously, he worked for several donor institutions in Indonesia, such as UNESCO, WARSI & NRF (Norwegian Rainforest Foundation), and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Indonesia for peacebuilding programs. His competencies are in the area of social cultural assessment, stakeholder analysis, and conflict-sensitive approaches for extractive industries. He is capable to design and implement conflict sensitive approach and strategies and has provide technical assistance to many local organizations and communities to develop long-term social development programs that allow them to address conflict reduction objectives, to resolve conflict independently while obtaining self-sustenance by giving access to development opportunities.
